Key Purpose (Position Summary)
Develop/ review content for various medical/scientific deliverables meeting quality requirements as per client satisfaction metrics, with active guidance from the Group Head.
Key Expectations
- Develop/ Review different types of medical education & communication program deliverables
- Align various scientific deliverables as per client satisfaction metrics
- Follow best practices in the department regarding processes, communications (internal & external) and documentations; and technical requirements like language, grammar, stylization, content search, summarizing, data conflicts and referencing
- Work with Group Head (Content) and Project Managers, from project initiation to completion, in terms of content management
- Get clearly stated inputs from the clients; understand them and translate them into client’s objectives and project deliverables
- Interact with the client periodically for content-related feedback and progress
- Ensure increased client satisfaction by striving for continuous improvement
- Ensure adherence to processes, scientific code of conduct (reference-backed writing) and ethical writing (no plagiarism)
- Handle multiple projects independently and with team and ensure project completion within the stipulated time
- Assign task to the team (medical writers/ senior medical writers) on content development; review the task and progress on regular basis
- Participate in assigned training programs and work on assignments as per requirement
- Comply with quality, confidentiality and security requirements
- Provide technical guidance to the team and help them solve queries
- Ensure team members comply with organization’s values and directives
Functional Competencies
- Understanding of any specialty area of medicine (preferred) or an overall understanding of the medical field
- Knowledge of relevant guidelines related to structure and contents of specific document(s) with good understanding of Vancouver style of referencing
- Excellent, end-user computer skills (e.g., word processing, tables, graphics, spreadsheets, presentation and templates) and Microsoft software suite skills
- Ability to present scientific data in simpler form that are understandable to everyone
- Being up to date with the latest technical/ scientific developments and relating them to various projects
